Review highlights
Based on 71 reviewsPapa's Pancakes in Sunnybank is well-regarded for its diverse flavor offerings, particularly popular choices like black sesame and matcha red bean. Customers appreciate the value in bulk purchase deals, though some find individual portions somewhat pricey. The quality and freshness of the pancakes receive mixed feedback, with several patrons noting inconsistencies, especially when items are served cold. Despite this, the menu includes unique options such as croissant fingers and butter and raisin flavors, which add to the appeal. The restaurant’s steady crowd suggests strong local popularity, with many recommending it for those seeking sweet, Asian-inspired treats. Overall, Papa's Pancakes is appreciated for its flavor variety and portion deals but could improve consistency in serving temperature and portion size value.
Pancakes usually taste better when it’s hot or at least warm. But it was cold when we got it.
My favourite is black sesame one. Buy 10, get 2 free special is a good deal.
Love the Croissant Fingers at this place. Although the pancakes are delicious aswell. Prices are fair when you are buying in batches otherwise it is quite expensive for the portion/amounts you are receiving.
Always see a crowd around this place, but never given it a go and decided to try it out since I was feeling a small bit sweet snack! The flavours are broad but limited to the regular flavours you expect from an Asian dessert place, except for butter and raisin which sounded unique. I read from the other reviews that the freshness can be a hit or miss, so I decided to go with the coconut flavour which was completely full, so I thought it might have been freshly stocked. The hot cake was very much quite warm and tasted sooo good. The coconut filling was tasty and generous, and the price was so insanely cheap at only $2 per hot cake. Definitely impressed and will be back to try out the other flavours!
Ordered the sesame and matcha red bean pancakes, yum yum yum! Recommend the sesame if you love sweet. Recommend fresh if you can not eat very sweet. Worth a try!
